Sumaya will be dancing at Ali Baba Thursday, November 10th at 7:00 pm.
Aziza’s dancers will be teaming up with Irene Rimer’s Flamenco troupe Saturday November 12, 2011 to support Ovarian Cancer.
Fundraiser is being held at the Birmingham Museum of Art on the main stage.
Belly Dancing will be from 10:00 – 10:30 featuring Sumaya, Yasmine, Missy & Marsheika.

Talk to anyone who knows anything about belly dancing in Birmingham, and the name Aziza is guaranteed to get dropped. She is something of a celebrity in the area, and there’s no question that she has earned that status. Aziza has been teaching and performing the classic Egyptian style of dance for over 36 years, and she is loving every minute of it.
Look for Aziza and some of her dancers on WJXSCA Channel 24′s ”Dean and Company” during the Christmas Special and New Year’s Eve Special.
Enjoy traditional Persian food and belly dancing every Thursday night at Ali Baba in Hoover (next to the Hoover Chamber of Commerce). Dancing starts at 7pm. Sumaya & Saida each perform one Thursday of each month and by special request.
Layla dances every Wednesday night at Silver Coin in Hoover, AL. Enjoy a wonderful evening with a full Indian buffet and belly dancing.

We ended 2009 with my dancers, Jallila and Saideh, winning the first Southeastern Belly Dance Queen Contest in the category of Queen and First Runner-Up, respectively; you both did a great job. And, Sumaya, the designer of my website, friend and dancer, did a beautiful job as well.
Classes for 2010 started off with a terrific group of new dancers in the beginner classes; I hope you enjoyed your experience and will continue when classes begin again in February.
